Folks, In an ideal world, we'd all just get along. Not necessarily like or love each other, but get along. We, of course, don't live in that world. We live in a world where people annoy us. Where we scream invectives at people who wait until the last second to merge, delaying everyone else. Where people feel entitled to belittle other people over the littlest things. Where some people can't take a joke and other people can't help themselves but make them. For people who bother you, or whom you feel the urge to bother, allow me to suggest a bit of board functionality called Ignore Member. Under your profile is a link to 'People You Ignore'. That will show you a list of all the people you ignore, and allow you to add names to that list. Is someone getting pushy with a story request? Ignore them. Has someone offended you in a story by ignoring your wishes? Ignore their content. If you just don't feel like dealing with someone anymore, ignore them. There's a school of thought that it's more noble not to use your Ignore List. That by silencing opposing voices, you create an echo chamber of only things you want to hear, and there's some truth to that. However, this isn't a political forum. This isn't a news site. This is a site dedicated to collaborative fiction. Create an echo chamber of people you like to write with, and cut out the people you don't like. It's fine and it will make your user experience better. This message is brought to you by the 'It Takes Two to Tango Coalition for Less Forum Drama'.
